So, guess what? I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a shiny new Sony A6400 with the kit lens! I got this one from Henry's Camera located at uptown mall BGC.

I lowkey always wanted to dive into photography, plus my wife wanted to put more quality photos into our travels. I want that to, so there you go 😄. But let me tell you, one week in, I’m already having a blast!

Diving headfirst into the nerdy side of things, camera settings. The exposure triangle (yep, that’s aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, for those wondering), and the magic of post-processing. It’s like learning a new language, but instead of words, you’re playing with light and vibes.

I already had a sprinkle of knowledge about composition as I always had grids on my phone, if that counts 😅. Rule of thirds, leading lines, nothing too fancy for now — but I’m putting it all together.

Every other day, I’m out there practicing, fiddling with dials, and yes on manual mode. It’s a mix of trial & error, and a whole lot of “ooh, that looks cool!” moments. I’m starting to get the hang of balancing those settings to make good sharp photos.

Stay tuned for more of my photo adventures — I’m already itching to share some of the shots I’ve been capturing and maybe even a few rookie mistakes along the way. That's all for now 😎.
